This Congress is geared to enable us as individuals, and for the members of the Pallottine Family in Australia and beyond, to be sent out renewed as apostles each in our own particular circumstances, with concrete plans for living Pallotti’s Charism in 2015 and beyond.

Pope Francis recently reminded religious that ‘[we] were called to be witnesses of a different way of doing things, of acting, of living! It is possible to live differently in this world.’
This is engagement, whether it is through the contemplative life or active ministries. Consecrated life is one expression of living the Gospels authentically and, at its best, dares the Church in new directions.
St Christopher’s Syndal has just celebrated a most joyous occasion. Our beloved parish priest Fr Pat Jackson celebrated his Golden Jubilee of priesthood, on the 25th July 2014. A celebratory dinner on the actual anniversary date was held at the Vogue Ballroom, East Burwood. A beautiful banner hung in the dining area showing in the middle, a picture of Fr Pat in his vestments and surrounding that were words in gold celebrating his 50th anniversary of priesthood.
