A sign at the front entrance of the house says "Pallottine Community". We are priests, brothers, other religious and lay people, working together in the spirit of St. Vincent Pallotti.

The house at Kew was first established in Victoria in 1937.
It has a two-fold function.

  • a centre for apostolic groups which meet here for a day or two at a time.

  • a home for sick and retired Pallottines.

The spiritual centre of the place is a small chapel which we call "the Shrine", of distinctive German architecture*, where prayer and Mass for a small group is celebrated each day.
* This is modelled on the shrine at Schoenstatt in Vallendar, Germany, a centre of an apostolic movement.
